Introducing the Ferno Compact 2 Track Chair, a versatile and innovative solution in patient transport, skillfully combining the functionality of both a carry chair and a track chair. This dual-purpose chair is the epitome of versatility and ease of handling, designed to meet the diverse needs of healthcare operators and patients alike.

Crafted with the operator's ease in mind, the Compact 2 features an adjustable rear handle, catering to different statures and ensuring optimal posture during patient transport. This adjustability is crucial for reducing the risk of operator injury, particularly when moving patients on uneven ground or navigating vehicle ramps.

The chair is not only quick and simple to deploy but also transforms effortlessly between its carry and track modes. The addition of a track allows for safe and easy downstairs transfers, eliminating the need to lift patients and thereby significantly reducing the risk of injury to the operator.

Constructed from lightweight yet durable stainless steel, the Compact 2 is designed to minimise its weight without compromising strength. Its large wheels and axle bar ensure outstanding balance and stability, even on uneven terrain.

As a product of Ferno – a world leader in patient transportation solutions – the Compact 2 Track Chair exemplifies the company's commitment to high-quality, functional design. It's not just about moving patients; it's about doing so more efficiently, safely, and comfortably. This chair is an investment in reducing manual handling risks, decreasing the weight of equipment that operators have to carry, and ultimately leading to cost savings and more space in vehicles.

What is the Ferno Compact 2 Track Chair used for?

The Ferno Compact 2 Carry Chair is a versatile, dual-purpose device, serving as both a patient carry chair and a track chair. This innovative design makes it an indispensable tool in emergencies for quick and efficient patient transfer.

Crucially, it addresses the requirements set out by the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, ensuring safe evacuation options for everyone, including those unable to use stairs, such as pregnant, disabled, or injured individuals. The attachable track feature of this chair simplifies the process of evacuating individuals downstairs, providing a stable and secure method of descent.

Designed for rapid deployment, the Compact 2 is also easily storable, making it an ideal solution for space-conscious environments. When fitted with treads, it can adeptly handle uneven surfaces like gravel or sand while maintaining stability.

While it is lightweight and compact, the chair's stainless steel construction ensures strength and durability. It is not only effective in aiding the horizontal movement of patients across various settings but also useful in navigating stairs where a track chair is unavailable. This adaptability makes the Ferno Compact 2 Carry Chair an essential piece of equipment for a wide range of patient transfer scenarios, from hospitals and care homes to emergency evacuation situations.
